Middle Back Pain symptoms Causes

  1. A fall or other type of injury

The cervical spine (neck) and the lumbar spine are more prone to be injured than the middle back (lower back). This is due to the fact that it is more regimented and rigid. The middle back, though, can still be injured. The following are the most common causes of these injuries:

a difficult fall, such as down the stairs or from a great height
an automobile accident
trauma caused by a blunt object
sports mishap

Anyone can sustain a thoracic spine injury, although the elderly are more vulnerable. If you have back pain as a result of the incident, see your doctor right once.

  1. Disk herniation

When the inner, gel-like core of a disk in your back pushes against the outside ring of cartilage, putting pressure on a nerve, it’s called a herniated disk. Slipped disks or burst disks are other names for herniated disks.

Pain, tingling, or numbness in the middle back and places where the afflicted nerve travels, such as the legs, might arise from this strain on the nerve.
